Description:
Even if it doesn’t feel like riffs and runs come naturally to you, I promise you’ll improve with consistent practice. For the best results, include exercises like these AND riffs from real songs in your practice. Over time, the speed will become easier to match, and the patterns will be easier to hear. Above all, have fun! We don’t make good progress when we’re frustrated, so please don’t be hard on yourself. Remember the ways in which you can make an exercise or riff pattern easier: always start by slowing it down and increasing speed gradually; and if needed, add a consonant to each pitch until you’re comfortable with the pattern. Happy practicing!
