Hi Camille.
I have a habit of mouth breathing that I want to change to nose breathing.
I have heard that in singing, you focus on breathing and posture. At the same time, I also like singing, meaning I will most likely get it done. After researching on ChatGPT, I thought it would be a good way to change my habit.
So can 30-day singer help me with this?
If so, which courses or lessons would you recommend me to go through?
I was going through your 30-day beginner course Level 1, for the second time, but stopped to get your confirmation. -

Hello! Our courses will help you sing (and breathing is a big part of singing) - but we actually do breathe through the mouth when singing. You can take in more air in a shorter amount of time, and your mouth is open to sing. I recommend nose breathing when there are breaks (intros, instrumental interludes) because nose breathing does moisturize the air and is less drying. But I can't say that you'll get a lot of nose breathing practice while singing! When your mouth is closed, nose breathing is the only option - but your mouth is open most of the time to sing. Yoga might be a good practice for you to breathe through your nose more!

Hi Camille.
Thank you for your message.
Are there any nose breathing exercises, too, that you teach at 30-day singer? If so, where can I find it?
If not, can I modify any breathing exercises to use for nose breathing, like the 10-second "hiss" exercise given in your level 1 course?
If so, how would you recommend that I do that?
My gut feeling says that your answers will probably be no. In that case, if I use other ways to develop the habit, will I see benefits in singing too? If so, I hope that motivates me.
PS: I had asked the same questions via singing feedback last month from my personal account. I also sent them to [email protected] and sent them reminders. However, I did not receive any replies from either of them. I noticed you are active in the forums and wanted to stay anonymous, so I created this account and sent a message. I think you answered my questions, so please ignore them. Since [email protected] never replied, I don't think I can request a refund. I will wait for my subscription to expire in the meantime. -

You could certainly modify breathing exercises to breathe through the nose - I'd recommend just doing so by closing your mouth! I'll link some lesson series below that may be helpful.

I'm sorry you didn't receive a response. I'll alert the support team if you'd like, just let me know!

By alerting the support team, you mean that I will receive the refund, right? By when can I expect to receive it?
Sorry that I am having to ask you to convey this. As mentioned in the previous message, Camille, you are the only one I am able to reach out to in 30-day singer.
Please reply as soon as you can. -

I teach and moderate the forum but I don't personally handle membership in any way, so you'll still need to ask support about that! The team member who covers the support inbox could not find any messages from you. Please make sure you're sending to [email protected] and thank you for updating me!
