    Hello Camille,

I watched this video on youtube called Component Focus #1 - “How Do I Control My Vocal Cords?” - Voice Breakdown on the New York Vocal Coaching channel that you told me about on one of the other topics I posted on. So in this video at around 2:25, he talks about decompression and compression. He says that the more decompressed and longer we make our vocal cords the higher the pitch. The more compressed and shorter the lower the pitch. Now in one of the other forums, you said pretty much the falsetto you want the thin cord compression to make it real falsetto. In head voice, do I want to still have a more thin cord compression in head voice then my mix or chest voice, or does it not matter?

It just depends on the sound you're going for! More compression = louder, stronger sound, whereas less compression = quieter, lighter sound.
