    Hi

Just checking the chrome extension thingee - is there a way of knowing the key I'm on? When I transpose down its -1 and up is presumably 1+ etc - which key is '0'? I find I need to go lower even with exercises that are mean't for general baritone/tenor range. Thanks

Hi, Seann! You could find the pitch of a single note by using a chromatic tuner (tuner.ninja is a free site that requires no downloads, but you could also use a tuner app if you have one that you like). The tricky thing is: exercises keep changing keys (modulating), so it's a moving target. And typically we're playing a chord to establish the key, not just one single pitch, so you'd have to get the tuner to analyze a single pitch to get your bearings. If the exercise pattern says 151, for example, you'd analyze the pitch for the "1" since the "1" is the tonic/first scale degree/name of the "key". Hope that helps!
