    Hi camille,

I've heard some singing instructors saying to tense the low abs slightly to help engage our back more when breathing. Is this correct?

Hi, George! We do talk about engaging the low abs and pelvic floor to help keep the diaphragm low. It's important to note that you're gently pushing out, not squeezing up or in!
