hi there, i am on day 13 and wonder why the teacher taught the ascending descending with doo doo then chose for the practice to do lip trills, most can't do them, especially beginners.  i cannot do this days exercises, at the practice at the 2:12 min i can, beautifully, but along with her playiing piano i cannot, why?  bc she goes extra fast bc of using the lip trill, i cannot hear the distinct notes moving up and down bc of her using trills and i can't follow along with her bc it throws me off. it may be a good 'i love it, she says' for her own personal use but in the teaching exercises to 'follow' with her, its not a good choice for beginners especially on this day, we can't hear the distinct notes and sounds and i cannot myself follow along., it's a waste for me.  i find i am not getting the use out of this program that i want to, especially that there's not an area or video for 'daily practice' that is a one stop 5-8 min video to warm up that includes all the days exercises or a few., to have to go back to each individual day to 'warm up' is not user friendly

    Hi, Tammie!

For slower practice matching pitch, please consider this lesson series first: https://www.30daysinger.com/tutorial/how-to-sing-in-tune-for-beginners-part-1.

We'll sometimes demonstrate on "doo" just so you can hear individual pitches, as they can be hard to hear on the lip trill. But if the lip trill isn't working well for you, please see below:

Straw singing is a great replacement for lip trills! Here's a lesson on other lip trill alternatives too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0wzbyyl1d-I.

Here's an article on lip trills and a short lesson with extra tips as well!
