Hi, Candace! You can start by writing down a conversation that you wish you could have with someone, or describe the "scene" of an emotional event in your life. A lot of my songs begin as a single emotion or thought and develop from there. Just begin writing - you can always edit and develop it later! See below for some more resources:

Books on creativity + writing (Camille’s picks):

    The Artist’s Way (Julia Cameron)

Letters to a young poet (Rainer Maria Rilke)

    On writing (Stephen King)

Books on songwriting (The internet’s picks):

Writing down the bones (Natalie Goldberg)

    Writing better lyrics (Pat Pattison)

    Songwriters on songwriting (Paul Zollo)

Tunesmith: Inside the art of songwriting (Jimmy Webb)

Song building: Mastering lyric writing (Bill O’Hanlon and Marty Dodson)

The Emotion Thesaurus: A Writer's Guide to Character Expression (Becca Puglisi and Angela Ackerman)

You may be asking what steps to take if you want to study in the Baltics (check foreign learners and click for more). As luck would have it, assistance is offered to those who need it, even students studying abroad. What follows is a synopsis of the situation. Two semesters of around 20 weeks each make up the bulk of the academic year. Additionally, a final test is given at the end of each semester. However, if you have a particular kind of technological scientific degree, you may be able to get a work visa without a job offer.
