Hi Camille,
I'm on Day 24 and would like your suggestions on some good songs to listen to and try to match the vocalist for runs and using vibrato. I've never really done runs in songs - mostly have sung rock :). And my vibrato seems to come out whenever it feels like it. So this will be a good exercise for me.
Thanks so much!

Hi Janine,
Even more than specific songs, I'd recommend the genre of musical theater in general for lots of vibrato usage. Of course, opera/classical singers use copious amounts of vibrato but that's far from rock. Some rock musicals worth listening to include Jesus Christ Superstar (1970), Rocky Horror Picture Show (1973), Hedwig and the Angry Inch (1998), American Idiot (2010), and Next to Normal (2008).
As for runs within songs, I'd recommend listening to the following singers (long heralded as the best riffers in female pop and r&b): Aretha Franklin, Brandy, Beyonce, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Tori Kelly, Jazmine Sullivan, YEBBA, and Ariana Grande. Enjoy!
