Vocal Warm-Up Feedback

    Hello,

I’m new to the site and program and would like to receive some feedback if possible! I attached 5 short clips that are titled for each exercise. I would like to receive feedback on if I’m on pitch/correct tone. Also, I would like to know if my breathing looks good from the side profile clip.

I had a question on Jonathan’s warmup lesson. When he was going over the Ooh vowel/sound, he played the 5-4-3-2-1 scale which was G4-F4-E4-D4-C4. However, when he was going down the scale it sounded like he was singing G3-F3-E3-D3-C3 according to my pitch app. Is this how it’s supposed to be?

Any additional feedback would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Hi, Braedyn! The only way to get instructor feedback at this time is through a private lesson, but hopefully some fellow students can weigh in!

Male voices should sing in Jonathan's octave (unless it becomes too low, in which case you can jump up). In general: sing in the octave that's most comfortable for you, and keep your registration in mind! For example, you can sing in that upper octave, but you'd be training high mix in that case.

Well that's a bummer...I thought that was one of the main purposes/reasons for having forums available, to allow new students to receive feedback to ensure they're doing the lesson correctly.

I'll share that suggestion with the team!
